Otoliths of the fish of the London clay by Frederick Charles Stinton

Two volumes, text written in French, but still an indispensable resource
A typical plate from Casier. This one featuring Whitephippus tamesis. The quality of the images are very good by 1966 standards, but on the whole, it is often difficult to identify specimens from the plates in the book. This is partly due to the way that Sheppey fish are preserved, and partly due to the quality of printing.
This plate features some of the ray dentition from the book
