Fish Fragments

While fish heads are very impressive, it is more likely that fragments of fish will be found. These bits can be quite varied and are much more common than the complete heads. They range from individual teeth and vertebra to spinal columns and brain cases, sometimes of very small fish. As in the case of Cylindricanthus and Phyllodus, only one part of the fish is ever preserved.
