Mudflows occur frequently in winter or when there are prolonged periods of wet weather. Sometimes they are like rivers of liquid mud/slip which can often flow across the beach out onto the foreshore. |

Collector
beware, the mud at Sheppey is dangerous in the extreme. several people
have lost their lives, and many others have to be rescued from these
mudflows. the collector who left these boots behind was lucky, all he
lost were his Wellies

This WW2 pillbox was originally situated at the top of the cliff at Warden point. It has progressively slid down the cliff, and is now at beach level. | |
